How to Send Voice Messages on WhatsApp Web

Sending voice messages on WhatsApp Web is a great way to communicate quickly, especially when typing isn't convenient. Although WhatsApp Web doesn't support voice message recording in the same way as the mobile app, it does have functionality for it—though it depends on your browser. Here's how you can send voice messages using WhatsApp Web:

Step 1: Set Up WhatsApp Web

First, open your preferred browser and go to web whatsapp. A QR code will appear on your screen. Open the WhatsApp app on your phone, go to Settings > Linked Devices, and scan the QR code to connect your account to WhatsApp Web.

Step 2: Open a Chat

Once connected, you will see a list of all your chats on the left side. Click on the chat (individual or group) where you want to send the voice message.

Step 3: Use the Microphone Icon

WhatsApp Web supports voice messages through your computer's microphone, but only in supported browsers like Google Chrome. Look for the microphone icon located in the message input box on the right. Click the microphone icon, then press and hold it while speaking your message. Once you release the button, your voice message will be sent automatically.

Step 4: Grant Microphone Permissions

Ensure that your browser has the necessary permissions to access your computer’s microphone. If you don’t see the microphone icon, check your browser settings and allow microphone access.

Alternative Method: Upload Pre-Recorded Voice Messages

If you’re unable to use the microphone feature Whatsapp web, you can record your voice using an external tool, save the file, and then send it via WhatsApp Web by clicking the attachment icon (paperclip) and selecting Audio to upload the recorded file.
