Park Hyun-kyung and Lee Yewon made a thrilling comeback
Park Hyun-kyung won 1UP (one hole difference) in the Doosan Match Play (total prize money of 900 million won and 225 million won in prize money) final of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour held at Radena Golf Club (par 72/6384 yards) in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province on the 19th.
Park Hyun-kyung won all seven games in five days from the group league to the final, showing off her stellar performance to win the title. She achieved her first win of this season and five wins overall in about seven months since winning the SK Networks and Seoul Economic Ladies Classic in October last year.
She has also cleared up the disappointment of finishing the runner-up at last year's event. Park advanced to the finals again last year, but lost to Sung Yu-jin and had to settle for the runner-up. However, she won the finals for two consecutive years to lift the trophy. She has also established herself as a match play powerhouse by recording 18 wins, one draw and three losses (81.8 percent) overall in match play.
