'Playing in Munich won't get you a place in England's squad'

England's best 11 for Euro 2024 is in the spotlight.

The Sun on Sunday revealed England's predicted best 11 for their first Euro 2024 match. BBC pundit Matthew Upson, a former England defender, gave his picks for England's best 11 three months ahead of Euro 2024.

Kane leads the way in his predicted starting 11 for England's first game at Euro 2024. Foden, Bellingham, and Sakho in the midfield, with Mainu and Rice at the back. Chilwell, Maguire, Stones, and Walker make up the defense, with Pickford in goal.

Manchester United defender Maguire and emerging midfielder Mainu are in England's predicted best 11, while Rashford, who has scored 17 goals in 60 caps for England, is not expected to be a mainstay.

Dier, who has been in consistent form for Bayern Munich of late, was not included in the predicted best 11. Dyer, who has 49 caps, was not included in England's March A-match roster. Dyer hasn't played in an A-match since 2022. Bayern Munich coach Tuchel has recently left Kim Min-Jae out of the starting lineup for three consecutive games, while Dyer has been a consistent starter.

England drew 2-2 with Belgium in a nail-biting, hard-fought trial match at Wembley in London, England on Sunday.

England started Toney up front against Belgium, with Foden, Bellingham and Bowen leading the attack. Rice and Mainu formed the midfield, while Chilwell, Dunk, Stones, and Consa defended. Pickford was in goal.

Belgium started Lukaku up front, with Dokou and Trosar leading the flanks. Tillemans, Onana, and Mangala formed the back line, while Teate, Vertonghen, Debast, and Castinho were in defense. Sels started in goal.

In an evenly matched match, Belgium opened the scoring in the 11th minute when Tillemans found the back of the net. A ball cleared off the line by England goalkeeper Pickford found Onana in the middle of the England circle, and Tillemans' left-footed strike from just outside the penalty area found the corner of the net.

England fought back and Toney equalized from the penalty spot in the 17th minute. Toney was brought down in the penalty area by a tackle from Belgian defender Vertonghen and the referee awarded a penalty kick. Toney stepped up to the spot kick and rattled the Belgian net with a right-footed shot.

Belgium then regained the lead in the 36th minute through Tillemans. Tillemans split the England goal with a diving header from Lukaku's cross.

After trailing at halftime, England were awarded a dramatic equalizer by Bellingham in second-half stoppage time. Bellingham collected Maddison's pass in the middle of the penalty area and finished with a right-footed shot that rattled the net as the game ended in a draw.
